The Nagarkot Hills are a haven of peace and tranquility lying 30kms to the east of Kathmandu. From here, on a clear day, there are stunning views of the Himalayas, and many people visit the area especially to see the sun rise or sun set over this famous mountain range.

Nagarkot Cottage was established in 1976 as the first eco-resort in Nepal.
